Request a prepaid label
Fill in a short form on our platform: what kind of device, roughly how old, and where you are shipping from. We create a record for your device and email you a prepaid label. There is nothing to pay at any point.
- 2In transit
Pack it and drop it off
Wrap the device in something soft, put it in a snug box with its charger, tape the label on and drop the parcel at any location for the carrier shown on the label. Your device is tracked from this moment on.
- 3US warehouse
We receive, log and test it
When the parcel arrives we scan it in against your record, so you can see that it made it. A technician tests the screen, keyboard, battery, ports and storage, and grades the device. You get an update in your account.
- 4US warehouse
We wipe it and prepare it
Your data is erased completely before anything else happens. We then install a clean operating system with learning software, pair the device with a working charger and label it for its destination batch. Devices that cannot be made reliable are recycled responsibly; their parts often keep other devices going.
- 5In transit
It ships to Nepal in a tracked batch
Devices are grouped into batches, each with a manifest of every device inside. The batch is shipped to Nepal and cleared through customs. Every batch, and every device in it, is visible on the platform to the donors involved.
- 6Nepal
A partner places it with a child
Our partner organisations in Nepal know their communities. They receive the batch, confirm each device, and distribute them to children and schools that need them most. They record each placement on the platform, closing the loop back to you.
Where the time goes
Honest expectations about timing
Getting a laptop from a US doorstep to a child in a Nepali school is not fast. It is, however, visible at every stage.

Your door to our warehouse
A few days, depending on where you ship from. You see the scan-in the day it arrives.
- Stage 2
Testing and preparation
Usually a few weeks. It depends on how many devices arrive at once and how much work each needs.
- Stage 3
Waiting for a batch and clearing customs
The longest stretch, often a couple of months. Devices travel together because it is cheaper and safer.
- Stage 4
Distribution in Nepal
Partners place devices as school terms and travel to remote areas allow, then confirm each placement.
When a device does not make it
Nothing is thrown away, and nothing is sold
Some devices arrive too old, too damaged or too slow to be useful in a classroom. They still help.
