Schools along the Trishuli lost everything. Your laptop can help them start again.
On 26 August 2026 part of a glacier on Langtang Lirung collapsed, sending a wall of water and debris down the Lende Khola and Trishuli rivers through Rasuwa, Nuwakot and Dhading. More than 1,300 people died and thousands are still missing. Homes, bridges and classrooms went with the river.
NAC is prioritising schools in the flood-affected districts for upcoming batches, working through local partners and education authorities.
At Shree Bagheswori Secondary School in Galchhi, Dhading, students were saved by a lunch break and by teachers who hurried them out as the water rose. They came back to classrooms coated in mud, benches, walls and notebooks alike.

What devices can I donate?
Laptops, Chromebooks, tablets and their chargers are what our partners need most. If you are unsure about a particular device, ask us before shipping; devices that do not power on are often still useful for parts.

No. We send you a prepaid shipping label and cover everything after that: transport, testing, data wiping, preparation and the journey to Nepal.
How do I get the prepaid label?
Request it on our platform. You describe the device and give us a shipping address; we email a label you can print. If you cannot print, tell us and we will mail one.
What happens to the data on my device?
Every storage drive is fully erased before anything else is done, and a fresh operating system is installed. Drives that cannot be erased are removed and physically destroyed. Nobody browses your files at any point.
Will my device go to schools hit by the August 2026 floods?
Upcoming batches prioritise schools in Rasuwa, Nuwakot and Dhading, the districts worst hit when a glacier collapse sent floods down the Trishuli on 26 August 2026. Devices reach those schools through our partners and local education authorities once classrooms or temporary learning centres are ready for them, and you can see on the platform which school received yours.
